South Coast Wedding Venue

An Exclusive Wedding Venue Hidden on the NSW South Coast

Waterfall Wedding is a private waterfall wedding venue located on the NSW South Coast near Jamberoo. The venue features a purpose-built amphitheatre overlooking a natural waterfall, with capacity for up to 200 guests and exclusive-use hire.

Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration of 200 guests,, Waterfall Wedding offers a truly unique NSW South Coast wedding venue experience.

Are you drawn to the refined elegance of a Southern Highlands wedding or the serene beauty of the Illawarra South Coast farmlands, where rolling green hills meet ocean horizons and rainforest canopies? Waterfall Wedding is a NSW South Coast wedding venue that offers both – a wedding venue nestled in the mountains of a historic coastal farming village.

Waterfall Wedding is a boutique modern-rustic barn venue just 90 minutes south of Sydney, nestled within the lush valleys of NSW’s South Coast hinterland. Framed by farmland, ocean glimpses, and the rainforest escarpment, it offers couples an exclusive, private setting where nature and design come together in perfect harmony.

The property spans more than 50 acres of working farmland, anchored by a spectacular waterfall and natural creekline. Designed with understated elegance, the venue captures the grounded calm of country life while maintaining a sense of architectural sophistication – a seamless blend of natural beauty, quality service and refined design.

A Hidden NSW South Coast Wedding Venue Gem!

The Ceremony: Your Day, Your Way

Your NSW South Coast wedding ceremony can unfold wherever your story leads. Couples may choose to hold a traditional service in one of the historic sandstone churches or in a regional temple before gathering at Waterfall Wedding for their reception, or engage a Civil Marriage Celebrant and exchange vows right here in front of the waterfall’s natural amphitheatre.

Terraced lawns descend toward the ridgeline’s edge, where the sight of the grand horsetail falls creates a tranquil focal point beneath the open sky. Every angle has been designed for photographs that feel cinematic yet authentic, whether softened by morning mist or illuminated by golden afternoon light.

At Waterfall Wedding, couples have complete creative freedom. Bring your own musicians, stylists, and caterers – or collaborate with our recommended local and Sydney-based vendors who know the property and its natural flow. Some couples focus on the venue’s exclusivity and photographic backdrop, while others elevate their day with renowned chefs and creative teams.

Whatever your vision, the space adapts to you – whether it’s a minimalist elopement or a full weekend celebration.

The Reception Space: Designed for Connection

Step inside the modern barn pavilion, where architectural precision meets handcrafted warmth. Expansive glass doors open onto panoramic views, while the angled skillion roof draws the eye toward the waterfall – keeping nature at the heart of every celebration.

The barn’s layout creates a fluid transition between ceremony, dining, and dancing. Two wings – East and West – are joined by a central walkway known as The Compression, symbolising the passage between reflection and celebration.

Inside, acoustically designed ceilings ensure every conversation and toast carries easily without overpowering the atmosphere. The layout accommodates up to 200 guests comfortably, with included tables, seating, and integrated lighting to suit a range of styles – from contemporary minimalist to bohemian elegance.

Couples can bring in their own catering teams, stylists, and entertainment, or draw on Waterfall Wedding’s preferred network of trusted partners. From Sydney chefs and creative mixologists to regional florists and acoustic artists, the space offers the freedom to personalise every detail while maintaining the venue’s exclusivity and tranquillity.

As daylight fades, the barn transforms under soft, layered lighting into an ambient, romantic setting – perfect for candlelit dinners, heartfelt speeches, and dancing beneath the rafters.
